BrightonSEO started out as a small meet up in a pub with a couple of presentations and two dozen seats but when twenty minutes before it started we had standing room only and the day after when we had got coverage in the Guardian we knew we might be onto something good.

In just under four years we’ve grown to 10 specialist digital marketing conferences a year (five brands, twice a year) all with over a 1000 attendees.

The events are some of the biggest and most respected events in their niches. But we think there’s the opportunity to make the events even bigger and better. And that’s where this job comes in.



The Editorial & Community Manager will:


Work to create and implement an intelligent marketing strategy for all the events and training courses, with a particular concentration on social media marketing, blogging and email marketing.

Coordinate the design and production of all marketing collateral, including logos, sponsor packs, on-site signage, lanyard and poster design etc. (to include copywriting) Experience of Photoshop and Illustrator is valuable.

Provide reports for update meetings with the rest of the team.

Working to ensure timely acquisition of speaker materials.

Onsite support of operational management of events with a particular focus on social media.

Identify and deliver innovative ways to bring high levels of visitor and exhibitor engagement.

Analyse and report on trends, habits and behaviour of site visitors, online customers and competition to identify opportunities and improve the business.

Monitor and analyse campaigns.

Organise and develop campaign performance reports for team members and also analyse performance of all stages of customer lifecycle (visitor, exhibitor and sponsor)

Take ownership of the event website content management including speaker details, blog updates and general web maintenance.

Take ownership of event social media channels (we normally trend on Twitter when we host an event)
